Keeping a $60M design portfolio on track while the company was sold
The company was acquired mid-flight. Instead of everything stalling, built the design operations infrastructure — research practice, career framework, 13 process artifacts — that kept 7 designers shipping without a single missed deadline.

Giving media analysts their weekends back
Teams were spending 3 full days generating a single competitive report. Redesigned the workflow end-to-end: reports now take 15 minutes, saving 1,000+ hours in five months. Bid calculations dropped from 5 hours to 1 minute, supporting $800K+ in revenue.

The data platform behind 32,000 advertising accounts
Designed the foundational infrastructure — 400+ screens across 22 data connectors — that powers every product in the Jellyfish suite. 500+ enterprise clients depend on it daily. 8.9/10 usability across three distinct user roles.

Making AI brand perception measurable for the first time
No category existed. No competitive reference. Designed the first tool that lets brands see how LLMs perceive them — POC in under 3 weeks, 300 qualified leads within 48 hours of launch, tested with C-suite across 4 countries.

Modernizing 20,000 government websites for the French defense establishment
26 agencies. Military officers and civilian administrators who had never been in the same room. 9 co-design workshops, 100+ participants, 50+ site benchmarks, and a 50-component design system — delivered while still holding an apprentice title.

Discovering the shadow workflows an entire company didn't know about
Concurrent research across two data products revealed that users had built an entire hidden workaround ecosystem. The findings didn't just improve the product — they redirected the roadmap.

The Research Foundation
Before entering the industry, I spent years studying how technology shapes human cognition. This research foundation grounds every design decision I make.
Studying impacts and solutions to deceptive designs in the age of the attention economy
Investigated how dark patterns exploit cognitive biases through neuroscience, behavioral economics, and regulatory analysis. Translated the research into LUX UX — a complete startup concept with market sizing ($183M-$356M), competitive benchmarking, and financial projections. 91% of surveyed users wanted dark pattern alerts.

Bridging analog and digital perception with conductive ink and neuroscience
Built a working hybrid book prototype that connects physical pages to digital content through conductive ink circuits and a Raspberry Pi — grounded in neuroscience research on how screen reading changes the brain. A BFA thesis that became the intellectual foundation for everything that followed.

What I Do Differently
Infrastructure Builder
I do not just deliver designs -- I build the organizational systems that make research-informed design sustainable. At every company I have joined, I have created research portals, intake processes, methodology guides, and design brief systems that the team uses long after any single project ends. At Marigold, during a corporate acquisition, I built 13 process infrastructure artifacts from scratch: intake forms, a 14-page research fundamentals guide, feedback loop systems, and a 69-skill career development matrix for my team of 6 designers.
Research-to-Impact Pipeline
My first move is always to map the full system before touching a pixel. At the Ministry of Defense, I audited 26 agency sub-sites and benchmarked 50+ reference websites before proposing a single layout. At Marigold, a 60-page UX Foundation uncovered that 60% of first-time users failed the core task -- a finding that redirected the entire product roadmap. Systematic discovery is not perfectionism. It is how you prevent teams from shipping broken workflows.
Complexity Navigator
I operate well in environments that others find paralyzing: corporate acquisitions, fragmented data ecosystems, military bureaucracies, products with no UX precedent. For Share of Model, I invented new data visualization patterns because the product category did not exist yet. For J+Lake, I designed coherent experiences across 22 data connectors, 8 products, and 20,000+ daily jobs. I find clarity in complexity -- and I build the frameworks that help everyone else find it too.
